Yuko Lau to wszechstronnie utalentowana artystka, tworząca urocze prace adresowane do dzieci oraz eleganckie, abstrakcyjne motywy kwiatowe. Po studiach w rodzinnej Japonii otrzymała dyplom z projektowania przedmiotów drewnianych i mebli uczelni California College of Arts and Crafts w San Francisco. Zanim została artystką, przez 10 lat projektowała meble komercyjne.
